Meaning in graphics work
A window graphic is a graphic applied to, attached to or viewed through a window. Its construction depends on how the glass, message and viewer relate.
Transparent, opaque, translucent and perforated media provide different effects. A category label does not determine which side is printed or whether the image is viewed through glass.
Example and practical consequence
A campaign intended to read from outside may be applied inside, requiring a deliberate image orientation and layer arrangement. An internal view can need different treatment from the external message.
Record viewing side, application side, glass conditions, restrictions and intended removal. Ask the provider to confirm the full film, adhesive and any laminate system. Do not assume a window is an unrestricted graphic support or that a clear-looking film can be applied safely to every glazing construction under every exposure condition.
