ONE BRIEF.
A WHOLE PROGRAMME.

Work through the nine connected sections. Plan a single wall or three shows, compare complete costs, resolve kit conflicts and make a decision whose assumptions you can inspect.

Try the complete fictional example.

Load it in the command centre, then follow these steps. Every show, supplier, price, stock figure and carbon factor is invented for demonstration. The comparison brief is frozen; the results are arithmetic examples, never actual prices or measured environmental outcomes.

Your inputs remain your decisions. The guest workbook calculates and exports entered records. It does not verify a supplier, approve artwork, reserve stock, place orders or send invitations. Saving is explicit; private engine-backed operations are pending.
01 / OVERVIEW

See the whole programme

Open the command centre. Choose “Try the complete illustrative programme” to explore the connected example, or begin with your actual wall, site or event.

  • The next-action list directs you to missing scope, conflicting kits and incomplete evidence.
  • No automatic saving occurs. Save deliberately on this device or export a workbook.
The demo contains three fictional events and one fictional reusable kit.

02 / SPECIFICATION

Freeze one comparable finished job

Record dimensions, quantity, assembly, artwork reference, required life, installation access, removal and tax basis. Freeze the comparison brief before treating offers as equivalent.

  • The example uses one indoor 2000 × 1000 mm reception display. Its comparison brief is already frozen.
  • Changing the brief invalidates comparison until you freeze the revised inputs. Keep existing quote references and reconfirm the supplier scope.
A frozen brief is a planning reference. It is not an artwork approval, signature or supplier commitment.

03 / EVENTS

Connect dates, quantities and budgets

Enter live dates, build and derig days, outbound transit, return/inspection and supplier lead days. A single annual event uses the same workflow as a multi-event programme.

  • The example live dates are 15–16 March, 20–21 March and 10–11 September 2027. They are invented.
  • Buffers and lead times use entered calendar days; confirm any real working-day rules with the supplier.
  • An imported official event observation is an unconfirmed draft. Recheck the edition, venue, timezone and deadlines.
The full occupied window and procurement date appear beside each event; missing inputs remain gaps.

04 / KITS

Resolve the actual turnaround conflict

Add usable compatible stock and allocate kit quantities to events. Availability includes transport, build, derig, return and inspection, not only the days when visitors attend.

  • With one reusable kit allocated to the first two demo events, the occupied windows overlap on 18–19 March 2027.
  • Change the timing, allocate another compatible unit or consider another entered offer; do not assume cleaning and freight can be skipped.
  • A local allocation does not reserve stock with a supplier.
The conflict is shown even though the two live event date ranges do not overlap.

05 / PRICES

Compare complete landed and installed offers

Select the event and bring actual supplier quotations or dated observations together. Retain specification revision, quantities, currency, VAT, validity, availability and lead time.

  • Enter print/setup, freight, installation, removal, storage, other charges and discounts. A blank mandatory charge stays unknown.
  • Fictional option A totals £660 including 20% VAT; B totals £720; C totals £804. These are not live offers.
  • The lowest comparable entered offer is a bounded result; catalogues do not prove current capacity or the best price everywhere.
Price ranking requires the frozen matching scope and complete eligible inputs. Currency is not automatically converted.

06 / CARBON

Attach the activity and exact factor evidence

Link each activity row to a decision option. Enter quantity, activity unit, factor, factor unit, source, year, method and lifecycle boundary.

  • The demonstration calculates A = 60, B = 62 and C = 40 kgCO₂e from fictional material and transport factors. None is a real footprint.
  • The example.org links are placeholders, not evidence. Replace the entire demonstration with actual applicable inputs.
  • Missing factors stay unknown. Do not count the same freight leg as both vehicle-km and tonne-km.
  • Capital-per-use allocation is a planning scenario and does not rewrite a corporate acquisition-year inventory.
The ledger is an entered-component subtotal. Even quantified rows do not establish a certified complete event footprint.

07 / DECISIONS

Inspect the cost–carbon trade-off

Join the chosen quote, event, specification and carbon rows to the same functional service and method boundary. Complete compatible options can be compared together.

  • In the fictional example, A (£660, 60 kgCO₂e) dominates B (£720, 62 kgCO₂e): A is lower on both declared measures.
  • C (£804, 40 kgCO₂e) costs £144 more than A and has a fictional 20 kgCO₂e lower subtotal. It is a trade-off, not an automatic winner.
  • Choose an option deliberately for each event. The initial demo options serve the first event; add matching options for later events.
  • Stress costs must be entered for every option under the same case name. No future prices or probabilities are invented.
Incompatible, incomplete or unknown values are excluded from the comparison. A selection does not place an order.

08 / TASKS

Handover responsibilities, then record return

Give each critical task an owner, stakeholder role, due date and predecessor. Record exact artwork and other evidence before treating a task as completed.

  • The example links venue/access confirmation → artwork approval → manufacture and delivery. Resolve missing predecessors and cycles.
  • Enter full actual cost, attributed revenue, contribution margin, attribution basis and evidence after delivery.
  • Contribution profit = attributed revenue × contribution margin − full cost. ROI = contribution profit ÷ full cost. Zero cost makes the ratio undefined.
  • Lead targets and scans alone are not profit. Assumed attribution remains a scenario; supplied evidence is not independently verified.
The demo begins without actual revenue or cost, so it has no actual event ROI to claim.

09 / HANDOVER

Export, restore and share deliberately

Save explicitly on this device, download the JSON workbook, and restore it through the JSON import control. Imported inputs are validated and recalculated.

  • Full workbook and decision JSON contain prices, budgets, revenue and notes. Review them before sharing.
  • Operational CSV excludes dedicated finance fields by default. Tick the explicit finance option only when you intend to include them; free text can still disclose private details.
  • Calendar ICS dates are tentative planning entries. A download sends no invitations, bookings or installation orders.
  • Keep your own copy: device storage can be cleared and is not account-backed backup or secure private collaboration.
Private organisation accounts, server-enforced permissions and operational supplier integrations remain pending shared-engine capabilities.

Understand the example before replacing it.

Fictional options for the same frozen brief and entered component boundary. Costs include 20% VAT.
OptionInstalled totalFictional subtotalInterpretation
A£66060 kgCO₂eLower entered cost; dominates B
B£72062 kgCO₂eHigher on both measures than A
C£80440 kgCO₂eHigher cost, lower fictional subtotal

The £660 total is (£400 print + £50 delivery + £100 installation) × 1.20. A's 60 kgCO₂e is 20 kg × fictional factor 2, plus 100 km × fictional factor 0.2. These factors are supplied only inside the labelled demo; no generic default factor is recommended for an actual job.

The demonstration makes no claim about complete lifecycle emissions, carbon certification, supplier availability or market prices. Clear it and enter your own evidence before making a real decision.

Follow the methods and public workflow evidence.

These links help you find an actual method or inspect documented market workflows. A source link alone does not select a suitable factor or configure a supplier system.
