Understand the construction
Wall mural assemblies create a large image or message on a wall using a defined graphic construction and installation method. Panels, seams, surface preparation and surrounding features form the assembly; the digital image alone does not describe the installed mural.
For a mural crossing doors, fittings or an uneven boundary, survey the actual wall and decide where seams and crop fall. The content owner should approve the image arrangement, while the installer confirms surface suitability and the site's permitted preparation and access.
Specify the actual job
Specify the selected media, print process, adhesive or attachment, panel map, overlaps or joins and finished coverage. Obtain the provider's actual requirements for the wall finish. Keep reference dimensions and image scale explicit so important content is not accidentally cropped around an interruption.
Limits and evidence
A mural cannot be assumed to conceal or remedy an unsuitable wall, damp or unstable finishes. A successful print proof does not establish attachment or removal performance. Required venue evidence should address the actual printed and installed construction rather than a generic wallpaper or bare-film description.
Review current media and application guidance and a representative printed or applied sample. Have the responsible installer assess the real wall and any uncertain finish. Record accepted seams, colour sample and the future removal plan, preserving the scope of every confirmation.
Next useful action
Use the panel planner to produce a surveyed installation map and the approvals tool to separate content acceptance from site readiness. Confirm wall preparation, access and removal responsibilities before treating the complete image as an authorised installation package.
