Meaning in graphics work
Vector artwork describes shapes through paths, points and related drawing instructions. Its geometry can be scaled without relying on a fixed grid of picture samples.
A vector document may still include raster photographs, effects or masks. Vector geometry also does not guarantee correct fonts, colour, physical dimensions or manufacturing detail.
Example and practical consequence
An exhibition logo supplied as editable paths can scale across panel sizes, while a photograph placed beside it still needs an effective-resolution check for each application.
Inspect mixed content and preserve the agreed output dimensions. For cut graphics, confirm that the provider receives suitable paths rather than merely a screen appearance. Retain editable source files and permission records so conversion, outline changes or later adaptations do not silently alter the approved identity.
