Understand the construction
Solid polypropylene sheet is a continuous sheet construction using polypropylene rather than an intentionally fluted or separate-core board. Solid describes its form, while grade, thickness and surface treatment determine what the provider can reliably fabricate or print.
For a shaped retail insert, compare the need for a solid edge and the intended bending or attachment operation with alternative boards. Ask whether the graphic is printed directly or applied as a separate layer, because the bonding and surface requirements differ.
Specify the actual job
Name the sheet grade, thickness, surface treatment and print method. Include cut geometry, bend details if proposed and fixing positions. Where adhesives are used, obtain guidance for that exact surface and the mating component rather than selecting an attachment from appearance alone.
Limits and evidence
Do not assume untreated polypropylene bonds or prints like every other polymer. The complete assembly still needs suitability assessment for loads, cleaning and exposure. Solid construction does not prove a quantified lifetime, flame classification, recycled content or a locally accepted end-of-use route.
Request technical information and a representative production sample from the actual provider. If attachment is critical, agree a scoped assessment of the actual joined materials. Keep its conditions visible, and seek destination-specific acceptance before making a recovery commitment.
Next useful action
Build a material comparison showing why a solid sheet is needed, then document the print and attachment questions. Use the disassembly planner to assess which added components can actually be separated after the campaign.
