Meaning in graphics work
Screen printing transfers ink through prepared open areas of a stencil carried on a screen. Each agreed colour or treatment requires an appropriate production setup.
It is different from digital inkjet image formation. The artwork separations, registration approach, ink and substrate need preparation suited to the actual screen-printing workflow.
Example and practical consequence
A repeated sign graphic using a limited set of colours might be prepared with separate agreed channels. Fine details and overlaps need discussion with the provider before a customer preview is treated as production-ready.
Confirm image detail, colour treatment, substrate and drying or curing requirements. Keep the separation instructions and accepted sample linked to the actual revision. A supplier offering screen printing has not automatically confirmed capacity, ink suitability or the exact outcome for every material in a proposed campaign.

- Agree separation and sample requirements with the actual screen printer.
