Meaning in graphics work
Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable living person within the relevant data-protection context. Identification can arise from combinations of information, not only a visible name.
It differs from every business fact or from information becoming harmless simply because it appears publicly. Removing a name may leave other identifying details.
Example and practical consequence
An installation photograph can show identifiable people or location-related information. A campaign contact record may contain a work email tied to an individual even when the employer is a corporate organisation.
Understand the actual processing purpose and apply the appropriate data-protection requirements. Share only information needed for the recipient's task and keep visibility and retention decisions attributable. Do not assume a public source, company domain or anonymised-looking label removes all privacy considerations; consult current authoritative guidance where the classification or lawful handling is uncertain.
