The skill and its purpose
A review is useful when it records what was assessed, who had authority and what decision was made. The presence of uploaded documents or an application form does not establish evidence validity or permission. A reviewer should distinguish the proposed use, actual supported facts and unresolved gaps. Funding or a supplier relationship should not silently determine the evidence conclusion.
Work through the decision
Compare the exact request version with the applicable adopted criteria and permitted source documents. Record reviewer scope, competence where relevant and declared conflicts. Ask for missing information and keep conditional responses visibly conditional. Retain the decision, reasons, term and any appeal or correction route. In the disconnected release, a personal review checklist remains a draft; it cannot be represented as an authenticated operator decision.
Practical exercise — fictional
A fictional request includes a customer image without confirmed publication permission and a product document for a different variant. Prepare the review record with two evidence gaps and the appropriate follow-up. Explain why a completed form is not enough to approve the proposed mark placement. Retain a revised request as a new version when the facts are corrected.
Take it to the next job
- Review the exact request against adopted criteria.
- Record authority and relevant conflicts.
- Keep missing evidence and conditions visible.
- Preserve reasons and revision history.
Try the decision
The exercise stays in this session unless you choose to save it.
