The skill and its purpose
Bid contributors need the information and permissions required for their assigned work. Giving everyone the whole workspace can expose financial fields, customer data or unrelated bids. A useful contribution task links the current requirement, deadline, evidence and decision owner. The coordinator can consolidate responses while the authorised bidder retains responsibility for the actual claims and submission.
Work through the decision
Assign each response or evidence task to a named contributor and version. Share the minimum relevant brief and source clauses, with deliberate recipient choices. Keep rival supplier responses and separate client bids isolated. Set review checkpoints and identify who resolves conflicting claims. Mark contributions as drafts until checked against current requirements and permitted evidence. Revoke access when the role ends through the actual shared system when available.
Practical exercise — fictional
A fictional tender needs installation experience, production capability and pricing inputs from different people. Create three contribution tasks and a scoped sharing list. Explain why the installer does not need the agency’s entire client budget archive. Identify who must verify a claimed experience statement and how a changed buyer document affects the assigned task.
Take it to the next job
- Link tasks to current source requirements.
- Share only deliberately permitted fields.
- Keep client and rival bid records isolated.
- Review evidence before adopting claims.
Try the decision
The exercise stays in this session unless you choose to save it.
