Meaning in graphics work
An installation pack is the information needed by the authorised team to install a specified job. It connects approved versions, components, locations and instructions to accountable tasks.
It differs from a sales presentation or a generic artwork download. Its usefulness depends on completeness, scope and the receiving team's actual responsibilities.
Example and practical consequence
For a multi-site campaign, each pack may contain only the appropriate branch variants, component list and access notes. Competing supplier quotations or another branch's private information are usually irrelevant to that task.
Create the pack from the agreed specification and identify unresolved constraints visibly. Include the correct revision, custody/receipt steps and exception contacts, while limiting private fields to what the recipient needs. A pack labelled final cannot make an unapproved artwork version, unknown fixing requirement or missing essential component ready for installation.
