Meaning in graphics work
An appeal is a request for an identified decision to be reconsidered through a defined process. It gives the affected party a way to challenge the basis or handling of the decision.
It differs from an ordinary correction suggestion or permission to disregard an existing restriction. The decision remains identifiable while the appeal's permitted effect is recorded.
Example and practical consequence
A supplier disputing a project-identity refusal may submit additional scoped evidence or question a review procedure. A campaign team still needs to know whether current permission is active, suspended or unchanged.
Provide the decision reference, grounds, new evidence and relevant deadlines under the actual programme rules. Keep the reviewer's conflicts and reconsideration authority visible. A functioning appeal record preserves both the original rationale and the outcome, preventing a disagreement from being resolved by silently deleting unfavourable history or changing public claims without evidence.
